Golden Golf & Country Club Details

The Golden Golf & Country Club is a special place. It is a place where fairways skirt the banks of mighty rivers, greens sit eloquently beneath spruce trees and creeks charge from their mountain domains.

With a recent four star rating from Golf Digest, the Golden Golf & Country Club is a golf destination worthy of great applause. The front nine is a 1986 Bill Newis creation. In 1992, the back nine, commissioned to Les Furber, opened to complete the project. The course blends two dramatic nines to form a rock-solid test of golf. In the mid-80's, local resident Roger Ross led his community's dream for championship golf and it truly became a 'golden' reality.

Nestled between the Purcell and Rocky mountain ranges and bordered by the Columbia River, the Golden Golf and Country Club is getting used to accolades.

Having earned a four-star rating from Golf Digest and being recognized in the top 65 courses in Canada, this course's reputation is well-earned. With each of the holes being designed for playability and to showcase the natural beauty of the area, golfers from novice to expert will find characteristics guaranteed to make for a one-of-a-kind day.

Take the 12th hole for example—a relatively easy par five with Holt Creek acting as the border down the left side. With the Columbia River as a backdrop to the green, the stunning mountain scenery makes it difficult to keep your head down.

A fully licensed lounge awaits golfers at the end of the day. Come and see why Golden continues to be the most talked about “hidden gem” of the BC Rockies.
